Live Lift
DATA CENTRE RAISED FLOOR INSTALLATION OR REPAIR
We been providing data and electrical services to the communications industry for almost 40 years. Our service teams keep customer’s business running smoothly and efficiently 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Why Use Live Lift?
Aside from possessing dangerous threats to technicians and employees, tangled data cables and scattered electrical wires also prevent facilities to deliver optimal performance. Nearly impossible to maintain, these may seriously affect operations when being overlooked and neglected.
A smart facility management will be attainable if equipped with a raised access flooring, as systemic cables and wirings will make it easier for technicians and other staff to easily access and maintain different equipment.
Hoisting from underneath for live equipment floor replacement
Data Centre floors are under a tremendous amount of weight and stress 24/7/365. The raised floor is designed to be one continuous system, providing maximum rigidity and strength. When the floor is not continuous the entire floor is weakened.
Under the weight and stress the weakened floor system begins to deteriorate. This deterioration begins with the twisting of the pedestal heads, causing the grid system to be out of line.
As the grid system gets out of line the floor tiles make less contact with the grid, leaving gaps between floor tiles. The gaps between the floor tiles become tripping hazards.
The less contact the tiles have with the grid system, the less weight overall they can hold. As the gaps get worse the pedestals begin to rise and fall slightly causing the floor tiles to not set level (yet another tripping hazard).
The longer this goes the weaker the floor gets. Left alone the floor will eventually collapse on itself. So, something must be done to ensure the floor is one continuous system with minimal potential points of failure.
Given the above scenarios, leaving the floor alone should not be an option. So, what can be done? Replace the legacy floor sections to tie in to the existing floor and create one continuous system.
Replacing legacy raised flooring while keeping the data centre live is a real and viable option.
How to maintain raised flooring
Having a raised access flooring isn’t enough as it also needs proper and strict maintenance. It’s also important to always check on it to determine whether it needs repairing or replacement. If you think that this process will cost you, we gathered easy and inexpensive ways to maintain your facilities.
